Sue and Pete were great hosts. We had a very relaxing weekend at Drom Aluinn. Gorgeous view from the bedroom and formal living area; cozy and clean bedroom and en suite bathroom; fireplace was perfect for a cold winter night. Sue and Pete was kind enough to let us tag along to feed the cattle, we had heaps of fun. Overall, great place for a quiet weekend getaway.
We had a lovely time. The house and facilities were fantastic. The view was magnificent! We’ll stay here again. Thank you!
We felt fully welcomed during our visit. For example, we got lost the first day trying to get to their place and Sue was kind enough to take her car to “rescue us” and guide us to their place. We found the accomodation much better than the description in the listing. The neighborhood was very quiet with a stunning view of country Victoria. We loved our time there and absolutely recommend it to everyone!
Sue and Peter were the perfect hosts and we had a lovely long weekend at Drom Aluinn. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with beautiful view across the valley to the Cathedral Range beyond. We were given a very warm welcome and loved getting to know the four-legged members of the farm – Riley, Basil, Rosemary – and of course, the chickens! Sue provided a delicious breakfast, cooked to order each morning and we highly recommend staying for dinner as well (the Chicken and Leek pie! The Panna cotta!). There is plenty to explore in the region – hiking, wineries, four-wheel driving, great food, markets and much more. We look forward to returning.
Sue and Pete are great hosts, made us feel at home and took very good care of us. Sue is a great cook (meat and veggies from the garden!). The house is new, the B&B room and bathroom too. Beautiful view on the valley from the bed, pretty bathroom, all in a nice style with natural colours/materials. They’ve got a sweet dog, chicks, sheep, cows… Great spot for a weekend away from the city
Sue and Pete were welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. We took on Sue’s offer to have dinner in and what a treat it was. The meal cooked by her and Pete was delicious. The food offered for breakfast was just as wonderful. The view surrounding the house is beautiful and provided a sense of serenity.
It really felt like a peaceful escape from the buzz of city life. The house has been built beautifully and the new facilities were amazing. The bathroom felt like we were in a 5-star hotel and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was difficult to get out of it in the morning because it was warm and just so soft.
There is a wood fire which was perfect during a winter’s night and day. We were able to have our own private space, but it was also just as easy to have a chat with Sue and Pete. They provided a lot of insight around the area and gave great advice about where to go for food and visits.
Thank you so much for the generous hospitality. If we ever head up there again, and I’m sure we will, I know where we’ll be staying for a refreshing weekend away.
A great way to spend a few days away from the everyday humdrum of life. So nice to just sit and take it all in with a hot cuppa.
Rylee is just gorgeous, Rosemary is a hoot and I am so glad I got to meet Alice & K’Lee. You have an amazing family of four-legged friends and I am looking forward to visiting again….. and the chickie babes too.

Our one night with Sue and Peter was wonderful, great room ( fantastic shower) enjoyed a lovely glass of red with fellow guests under the stars! Gorgeous view out to cathedral ranges and the best morning breakfast and coffee! We had a fantastic scenic drive around lake Eildon. Thanks guys we will definitely be back. Cheers Emily & Jason
